Tell me about yourself?
This is perhaps the most frequently asked question during interview. It is a question asked at the beginning of the interview and give the applicant an opportunity to make an opening statement about hinself/herself. You can use this to state a summary of your goals, overall professional capabilities, achivenment, background, strenghts, profrssional objectives etc. This question represent an opportunity to lead the interview in the direction you want him to go.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
This is rather deceptive question and should be prepared carefully. Identify and define your strengths and weaknesses. Think about your personality traits that helps you to perform better as your strengths and weaknesses as what hampers your performance. Be positive, turn a weakness into a strengths. For example, you might say " i ofthen worry too much over my work/assignments".
What are your hobbies? Do you play any sports?
Through such question the interviewer may be looking for evidence of your job skills outside of your professional experience. For example, hobbies such as a chess or bridge demonstrate analytical skills. Reading, music, and painting are creative hobbies. Individual sports determination and stamina, while group sports activities may indicate you are comfortable working as part of a team.
Why should we hire you? Or what can you do for us that other can't?
What makes you special and where do your major strengths lie? You should be able to find out what they are looking for from the job description. You may say " I have a unique combination of strong technical skill and the ability to build long-term customer relationship. State your biggest achivement and the benefit it made to the business, the finish with " given the opportunity i could bring the success to your company.
